2) SAK-13B/WO Graphite Main Chassis 2.25MM (Narrow) For 3racing Sakura Zero

3Racing is going to release new designed Narrow Chassis for SAKURA ZERO which is optimized for Lipo. The width of the chassis is narrowed to 83mm from the standard 106mm. The new part comes with 2 movable battery trays that allow drivers placing the battery with 5mm free range to attain perfect chassis balance.

The battery can be moved inward to the chassis if its weight is appropriate, so as to make the chassis narrower and effectively reduce the possibility to contact the ground surface during high speed cornering. It is made of rigid carbon graphite and cut precisely by CNC machine. Smooth run on straight road and flexible turns in corners, a must-have-item for professional drivers.

Front Belt for SAKURA ZERO is produced by Japan Brand MBL, that is much more durable than normal front belt and able to minimize the chance of belt jump due to crashing. The new coming batch is made of refined material, stiffness is boosted with less resistance, assuring car runs smooth and steady. The inner of the belt is of stylish brown. It is available now!

Japan TENKATOUITSU competition - Hosting by RC Maganize

Recently we informed by our Japan customer that their racer using 3Racing F1-09 to won in F1 class and got the TQ in the competition which hosted by RC Magazine. And after the TENKATOUITSU competition, this racer has won in the Club competition which hosted by our customer again!!

Who is it? He's the Japanese racer - Mr. Shigeki Morishima!! Congratulations!!

According to our customer, the shopkeeper of "Rajikon Car Shop Miyazaki", Mr. Miyazaki mail, the racer of Team Bomber, Mr. Ryuji Kato and the racer of Team Extreme, Mr. Tomohiro Hirai also has joined to the F1 class competition. At the last moment, Mr. Morishima and Mr. Kato has a close race and Mr. Morishima has won the competition and TQ by very narrow margin at the end. Congratulation to Mr. Morishima!!

We through Mr. Miyazaki to contact with the winner, Mr. Morishima and we got the permittion form him to share his setting of F1-09 here!!

3 Racing has released this new 5000mAh 50C hard case LiPo, that is specially produced for the competitive model racing scene. 2) Gear Differential for SAKURA ZERO

New from 3 Racing is Gear Differential 37 T & 38T for SAKURA ZERO, it contains 6 plastic gears inside. Mechanical operation makes it much more durable than ball differential and roller differential. Drivers possessing this new part no more need to change worn and eroded differential frequently, which definitely suits competition grade drivers who always crave for rebuilding their chassis promptly in the pit.

Two outer differential joints are made of 7075 aluminium alloy with hard coating, which is extraordinary strong and sturdy. Appended 3mm differential cushion effectively hinders joints get damaged. For adjusting the smoothness and the speed of gear differential, silicon oil with varied viscocity can be applied.

Gear Differential 37T and 38T are workable with 3.5 T to 4.5T modified motors, it fits all car models if some right adjustments of the chassis are made.


The new part is light and it weighs 22grams only, a must-have item for every advanced driver this season.

3) Oil Damper Stand

Oil Damper Stand is one of the newest set up tools from 3Racing, it mainly used to measure the length of the damper and add silicon oil to it. A ruler is equipped to this new stand, users just need to put the ball ends to the holders of the stand, the length of dampers can be measured easily. There are also 8 holes in the stand, drivers can fill oil to 8 dampers at the same time, which is fast and tidy. The new tool is made of acrylic and aluminium alloy, transparent and archy, a must have item for drivers pursuing function and beauty.

Jordan Valley RC Circuit - Part 1

The new Jordan Valley Radio Control Circult is located on Kolwoon Jordan Valley Playground Phase 2 where was reservoir and government landfill and being idle before. Few years ago, government approved to build a RC circuit there in order to promote leisure and culture activities and it was planned to open for public this year. Prior to the opening of it, 3Racing was invited by Hong Kong Racing Model Club to try and test the circult, finding if there any defects and shortcoming. SAKURA ZERO is honoured to be the first car racing on the new track.

The circult can be divided in several parts:

1. Outdoor Circuit: it regarded Macua circult as construction reference and is approximately 120m X 60m in area. The track is wide and flat, using low level corners which won't make severe damge to cars even crashing.

2. Indoor Circuit: it is smaller in area that is about 20m X 20m. It offers a good place for freshmen to practise before competition, also it acts as a small racetrack as well.

3. Indoor Pit: it is spacious and neat. There are 8 large tables and 4 medium size tables, which could accommodate maximum 40 people at the same time and each of the driver is offered 2 electric power supplies. With the adequate lighting in the pit, racing at night is no more a problem.

4. Auditorium and Driver Stand: it used velarium design with glass surroundings which allows sunshine in, making the stage more open and bright. Also, the distance between it and the track is about 4 meters, which provides better eyesight for drivers who always keep moving their heads when driving cars in other small circults in Hong Kong.

5. Other supplementary facilities: the circult was also equipped with other facilities like drinking machines, toilets and carpark, also with jogging pathway and children playground nearby.

Jordan Valley Radio Control Circult, is surrounded by mountains which provides natural ventilation and creates a cool environment for drivers, it definitely attracts RC fanatics crowd into it right after official opening.

The Revolution Process of Sakura Zero

The emergence of M05 led me to pick up my passion towards RC car, I start to drive car again . One day, I met my old friends in TC Radio Control Car Track, we chatted and discussed a lot about global tendency of the chassis development, new models published and the competitions held recently, the re-union evoked my great enthusiasm, I thought that it is not enough to be trendy, but lead the trend myself.


Mr. Tireman, who is my friend already for 20 years, he told me that he wanted to rebuild his 1/10 Touring Car, I originally wanted to upgrade the performance of the chassis body for him only, but after I worked on it for few weeks, I was surprised that the half of the chassis has been rebuilt. Then we talked about the TITC competition in Thailand, a thought suddenly appeared in my mind that I can innovate an original 1/10 Touring Car and combine it with Team Powers gear to participate in TITC competition.


Then we started to get involved in the development of the chassis structure, we focused on mixing the advantages and improving the defects of the present available cars in the market.


The appearance of LI-PO battery was definitely a turning point to the Radio Control Car Market. SUB C battery will be substituted and the new chassis has to suit and fit with LI-PO battery, the weight proportion issue therefore is the main point of the design project.


Because of the performance of Brushless motor, the durability of the differential was a key problem needed to improve. In order to upgrade the powerful motive force, the differential balls are increased from 6 to 8, from 8 to 10, and now 12, the increase in number of it is to maximize the contact points, so as to make the car move smoothly and steadily, the chance of spinning is also be lessened.


For the purpose of attaining traction control to increase the number of differential balls, it is inevitable to widen the diameter of differential pulley. However, the enlarged diameter will be against with low CG requirement. Regarding to this problem, we consulted different experts and asked for their opinions. One of them, Mr. Racing Wu gave me a wonderful idea that using differential rolls to replace traditional differential balls. Since the structure of the regular differential is basically the same with the thrust bearing and there is roll system in thrust bearing which also need to bear the gravity, we decided to test the rolls trying to apply it in differential.

The elementary testing result was acceptable, but it needed certain time and money devoted to produce a real and applicable differential pulley to undergo a real test. I prefer to produce sample to test it, which made Mr. Racing Wu shocked and said I was crazy to do something that may just waste money. However, I insisted to do this so-called risky investment as I believe people never success without trial and error.

Sakura Zero Option Part- 7075 rear rolling differential system (RDSTM) 

The caructure and the differential part was almost completed after over several weeks continuously design revision and production, the next step was to test the car. Our colleague, Miss Ethel suggested to use deep pink which is shine and attractive to be the theme color of the car, this color wasn't ever used in the market. It is unique as people either like it or hate it, which may in turn create noise and bring wide discussion by RC fans.

We expected to sell it in Japan starting from April which is also the Sakura blooming season in Japan, so we determined to use “Sakura” as the name of our first touring car.
